Having won a 'Finalist' award for the lyrics of 'Velvet Nights' in 2017, Emma decided to go whole hog for 2018 and enter the singer songwriter category, which judges every aspect of a song from its vocal performance, melody, lyrics, production and structure. Notoriously one of the hardest categories to succeed in because of the in-depth marking criteria and hot competition including signed artists from all over the world, Emma was over the moon to hear that she had been awarded 'Commended' for her demo of 'My Head's A Mess,' which is going on her debut EP later in the year.
