BIOGRAPHY
Skye Ember is a London based singer songwriter. She writes guitar-based indie pop and pop rock with influences as diverse as the Cranberries, Ellie Goulding, Lilly Allen and Blondie. Her vocal is mellow, sweet, and folky. She first performed at Birmingham Symphony Hall as a soprano and has since attended multiple songwriting camps and been awarded Finalist position in the UK Songwriting Contest. ​
Skye Ember wrote her first song at aged 16. She likes to write catchy, meaningful songs that mix musical familiarity with her own unique touch to brighten up your day.

Skye Ember has worked with a number of world-famous musicians such as Chris Difford (Squeeze) and Beth Neilsen Chapman (Faith Hill), and has shared a stage with Dr Voice (Sam Smith) as well as the original Miss Saigon and Hollywood star, Renee Montemayor.
A regular performer, Skye has played festivals such as O'Neils Carnaby Street Festival and Croydon Food and Music Festival. as well as being a Busk in London street musician where she performs to thousands at iconic British stations such as Waterloo and London Padington.
She has also had her music appreciated by international judges. The UK Songwriting Contest awarded her a Finalist position for "Velvet Nights." She was also awarded Commended for "My Head's a Mess", "Melt Away" and "Be Brave".

After performing "Lights Camera Action" with Jane Kelson and Martyn Adams in front of a live audience of over 250 people in Bar FM, London, Skye Ember was also awarded a Finalist trophy by the Masters of Songwriting competition judges.

She has been recognised for her songwriting talents on British national TV show, ITV The Chase, where she serenaded Sean Wallace (Mastermind) and Bradley Walsh (Dr Who) with an original acapella song.

Skye Ember released her debut EP "Reach Out," independently at the beautiful Piano Room in Tolouse Lautrec, London. This was an exclusive, limited edition hard-copy launch with only 100 copies in the world.

She is now scheduling releases from her self-titled debut album, Skye Ember, with the first single, Lonely Fight, released 16th September 2022. Lonely Fight is a song about finding the inner courage to bring down your walls and open up to others. It has received airplay on Amazing Radio, Unsigned Radio, PalcoMP3, WNIR Radio among others, and was launched live on The Emily B Show.

Her second single, Be Brave, is an indie pop lullaby celebrating the relationship between a parent and their child. Thunder, her 3rd single, is altogether different. Described as where Moulin Rouge meets tango, Skye Ember lights up her vocals and shows what she can do, setting the stage for an explosive album release that goes from tender to empowered, quirky to familiar. Thunder earned her interviews on The Jiggy Jaguar Big Big Broadcast, and features on Radio Seagull, The Third Street Show (KRDP) and The Real Ding.

Skye Ember the album, (out Oct 2023) has been produced by Rob MacLeod (Rain, B*Witched, Anna Carmony, Thomas Cameron) and was recorded in the music studio of Emily B (Simon Ellis, Damon Hess, Ensis Records). The mastering was done by Pete Maher (U2, Peaky Blinders, The Pixies, Nick Cave).

Skye Ember (the album) features 9 songs written exclusively by Skye Ember, and 2 co-writes. 'Velvet Nights' is a co-write with the jazz singer-songwriter Jane Kelson (London Songwriters). 'Christina' features the work of Linda Trenchard (London Songwriters) and Martyn Adams (Nightingale Road). It is being launched with the support of Startup CBA (Le Quid Productions, Bruce Wooley).

The album's lead single, Piece of Me, has proven very popular with Japanese audiences, producer/DJs at SHCR Transmission, WBAM Radio, The Music Lounge and Reuben's Radio Inverviews YouTube channel - two interviews for which are due for streaming relase towards the end of 2023.
